

About Me
Chelle Persoff has been a performer, organizer and teacher in school, community and professional ensembles and music programs as long as she can remember. Her first ensemble instrument was the flute in 6th grade and over the course of the next few years she picked up the clarinet, saxophone and started studying voice privately. She went on to receive her BA in Vocal Music from Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO in 2002 and has since been involved in varied community and professional groups.
While attending Fort Lewis College, Chelle was a part of the FLC Concert Choir, Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble, Marching Band, Chamber Choir and Women’s Chorus. While earning her BA she studied privately under Doctor Linda Mack - Voice, Doctor Brock Burbach - Voice and Doctor Mark Walters - Clarinet. In 2001 she sang at Carnegie Hall with the FLC Chamber Choir.
Since moving to California in 2003 she has sung and played with many groups including Sacramento Choral Society, San Francisco Choral Society, Voci Women’s ensemble, B.A.C.H. Chamber Chorus, In Bocca Al Lupo Women’s Ensemble, and Gallimaufry Early Music Ensemble. On the stage she has performed with Open Opera, Verismo Opera and Berkeley West Edge Opera. She currently performs with and California Revels as part of the chorus, town band and year round Solstice Ensemble as well as serving on the advisory council. She also works backstage, with the box office, and is heavily involved with fundraising efforts for the organization.
